Exciting times

dude i was going thru our ideas. and another one of yours caught me!! :D

unrelenting

this is a sketch done back in July, for a sci-fi, cyborg twist... an old man propped on mechanical legs fighting some malicious monsters/giants for the theme. The old man himself would portray that kind of unrelenting spirit, as he keeps persisting on even his physical body is failing.

The story of the sphinx came back to me, where the sphinx eats travelers who cannot answer his riddle.

In Greek mythology, the Sphinx sat outside of Thebes and asked this riddle of all travelers who passed by. If the traveler failed to solve the riddle, then the Sphinx killed him/her. And if the traveler answered the riddle correctly, then the Sphinx would destroy herself. The riddle:

What goes on four legs in the morning, on two legs at noon, and on three legs in the evening?

Oedipus solved the riddle, and the Sphinx destroyed herself.

I imagined this old man (or Biker old man in a harley wheel chair) riding down the desert and is ambushed by the sphinx monster. Question is asked, he gives a sly smile and answers it, they fight. Old man bursts out of his bike on a 3 legged walker. "three legs in the evening..." Cool right? Imagine him zig zagging on a motorbike wheelchair with a shot gun pulled from the motorbike parts.
